Top Ten Best Saving Websites

TOP TEN BEST SAVING WEBSITES:
So we thought we'd give you some more saving hints, this time in the form of websites.  There is SO much on the web these days, you really can find everything but lucky you, you came here where we help you find the deals.  So here's our top 10-check them out and let us know what you think.

#10-Amazon.com-I LOVE this website for so many reasons, tons of good deals and shopping without dragging the kids in and out of the car and the cold; but also because they have Amazon Mom and Subscribe and Save!!  If you are a mom/caretaker and you want an easy way to save some bucks this is it.  Go to the link below to see all the awesome deals that await you.
swap things you aren't using anymore-  movies, books, music, etc. with others around the country.... login, make a wishlist, enter items you have & wait for matches,  just pay shipping fees.

#8-Back to CraigsList-who doesn’t love Craigslist?  You can find Leapster 2 cartridges on ebay and craigslist for $5-10 pretty easy.   These can cost 20-25 new.

#7-I bought a Razor A2 scooter off of amazon for half price by going thru Amazon Warehouse Deals, Inc.  It was an item that had been returned but was in excellent /unused condition and got it for $19.99 (-regularly $35-40).
A lot of things that I get good deals on I have in mind for several months and just keep looking around periodically for until I find good deal, it's not always a one day find.  Like the scooter I probably waited 5/6 months before I bought it.  I Christmas shop throughout the year as I find good deals on things that the kids will like.

#6-There are always local sites/blogs that have good savings locally.  Here we have Denver Bargains at http://denverbargains.com/-great for giving you a heads up on local deal finds.  So check for these in your areas.

#5-There are also good national saving websites:  Saving Naturally-for those of you who want to eat or live more organically, http://savingnaturally.com/ is one I use as well as http://www.pinchingyourpennies.com/

#2-As far as coupons there are several, some ones I’ve used are:  http://www.couponmom.com/

#1-Lastly http://www.retailmenot.com/  I have not used this site myself but I have heard good things about it.  Retailmenot is a coupon code source.  Check out their site and type in your favorite store to find their deals!

Well, we hope you try at least some of these sites.  Obviously we all know you can spend HOURS on the computer to the point where you are wasting time and money so don’t go overboard but check them out and see what works for you.  Good shopping and Deal finding.

#9-Just Between Friends, this is a nation wide semi-annual consignment sale (childrens and maternity) http://www.jbfsale.com/default.cfm

#8-Shop pre-owned stores (isn't this what they call used cars now) but seriously check out your local thrift shops and cute boutique second hand shops, treasures abound here.

#7-Buy gift cards off craigslist or ebay to save money on large purchases from box stores (Best Buy, Apple, etc.) be careful doing this so not to get burned...there are scammers on this. Meet people off craigslist in public place, check via phone the account balance before buying.  If buying from ebay make sure very reputable sales history with only positive feedback and many transactions.
here's a resource for finding gift card deals:

*Here's an Apple Macbook example:
-saved $500 from using gift cards
- bought off of ebay and craigslist

#6-Instead of hiring a babysitter (that charges more per hour than you make) start a babysitting swap with friends/neighbors, swapping nights instead of dollars.

#5- Make a list-knowing what you need is half the battle and check on these things year round to get the best deals

#4-When getting your hair colored choose highlights-top layer only for your hair-you will save some money (up to $50 a visit) and you can go longer (8-10 weeks vs 6 weeks) in between salon visits.

#3-LIBRARIES-I LOVE the Library, it is full of free opportunities, not only can you check out books but you can check out music and movies (and not just boring documentaries)

#2-Ditch the cable TV-there are many ways to watch your favorite programs as well as movies (Netflix, Hulu etc)
